This marks Attraction’s inaugural First Look deal for their English Unscripted content

Award-winning production company, Attraction is thrilled to announce a first-look development deal with acclaimed writer, director, and producer Ryan McMahon. The partnership aims to develop a slate of original, thought-provoking, and impactful content across multiple mediums including film and television. This deal signifies Attraction’s first major step into talent-led unscripted content showcasing their commitment to supporting creators and storytellers across the Canadian and International marketplaces.

Ryan McMahon, a trailblazing storyteller known for his incisive investigative journalism and captivating storytelling, brings his signature style and expertise to this collaboration. McMahon, was the winner of three Norther Ontario Music & Film Awards, Outstanding Director and Outstanding Television or VOD Series, and Best Pitch. He most recently won two Canadian Screen Awards for his ground-breaking documentary series Thunder Bay and has established McMahon as one of Canada's most compelling voices in both scripted and unscripted formats. His work often delves into complex and powerful narratives, with a strong emphasis on Indigenous issues, identity, and experiences.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Attraction, which has earned a reputation for producing diverse and dynamic content in both the scripted and unscripted space. Known for their dedication to nurturing creative voices and delivering high-quality programming, Attraction was recently recognized as the Innovative Producer of the Year at this year’s Rockie Awards at the Banff World Media Festival. This accolade underscores their ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of storytelling and supporting creators who bring unique perspectives to the screen.
